Fellowships are offered by the Department of Ophthalmology in the subspecialty areas of pediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastic and orbital surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, medical and surgical vitreoretinal and anterior segment. Our fellowship programs are recognized for the quality and breadth of experience they afford, in addition to institutional affiliations with other departments.
This fellowship emphasizes medical and surgical treatment of corneal and external disease, refractive surgery, and management of intraocular lens complication, as well as other complications of cataract surgery.
The University of Minnesota-Mayo Clinic Joint Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery Fellowship Program
A one year program beginning in July. It is approved by the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
A one-year fellowship administered under the sponsorship of the University of Minnesota and the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO ). Our program matriculates one fellow each year.
The Retina Service of the University of Minnesota offers a two-year fellowship in medical and surgical vitreo-retinal diseases.
